New Reality Series is an Insightful and Funny Look into How Bizarre Items are Shipped

Ever wonder how a 4,000 pound steal horse statue gets from New York to Florida? What about a live camel? A&E’s latest reality show, Shipping Wars answers those questions that otherwise, might have never crossed your mind.

True to other A&E reality series, the story line relies heavily on not just the characters but the inventory or items that they discover.

In the first episode, Marc a.k.a “The Handyman” wins the bid to transport a steal horse from New York’s Ripley’s Museum to its new home in St. Augustine, Florida. Immediately, you get the impression that Marc’s background is a big asset and this guy knows that in transportation its better to put the cart before the horse.

Meanwhile, Jarrett a.k.a, “The Rookie” wins a bid on transporting an 800lb Venus fly trap puppet from the hit Broadway show, Little Shop of Horrors. But before he can reach his latest bid win, he borrows a trailer to transport these treasures. However, Jarrett hits many roadblocks including a hefty fine for driving without trailer tags.

As far as pilots go, I would consider Shipping Wars a success because, I’m hooked.  And even if you are not in the transport or logistics industry, Shipping Wars is full of all the drama that you have come to expect from a reality show, minus the Botox. Well, unless they are shipping it.
